Trippers & Askers is a boutique winery based in Santa Barbara, founded in 2020 by friends Hayden Felice and Andrew Fitzgerald. Our mission is to showcase the Central Coast's exceptional terroir and climate through single vineyard expressions of each grape varietal.

Committed to producing exceptional wines, we use only the finest organic grapes from sustainable vineyards, combined with minimal winemaking intervention. Our winemaking process is guided by curiosity and experimentation, resulting in creations that are both inviting and enjoyable, yet complex and cerebral. We focus on lighter, mineral-driven expressions, perfect for pairing with meals or savoring on their own. The result is a clean, organic wine that exhibits freshness, a more restrained fruit profile, and balance achieved through lower alcohol and lighter body, without sacrificing flavor.

Our passion for winemaking is complemented by our keen interest in literature and photography as reflected in our labels and the names we have chosen for our wines. Trippers & Askers is a nod to Walt Whitman, borrowed from his "Song of Myself." Each cuvée name, such as "The Root of the Wind" and "Bibulous of the Sea of Light," is inspired by cherished poems and passages, while the label photographs are captured during our personal travels. We take considerable time and meditation to design labels that reflect the characteristics of each wine or, at a minimum, interject a poetic and artistic moment in one’s day.

We are intricately involved in every aspect of the winemaking, from grape harvesting to hand-dipping each bottle in wax to our complimentary local deliveries throughout Santa Barbara County.
